Dogs are allowed in the mall here, I
even saw some dogs in a restaurant!

If you are turning 30, stay away from Kiel!
They have a tradition here that if you are
not married on your 30th birthday, you have
to sweep the town hall steps until a virgin
rescues you by giving you a kiss. If you are
a woman, you have to polish the doorknob.
This seems to be a tradition local to
northern Germany, but not all parts of

Germany is great for bicyclists
because there are plenty of bike
lanes. Usually they are pretty well
marked, but sometimes they are not.
I am always finding myself walking
in the middle of the bike lane.
In this photo, the bike lane is made
of slightly different bricks. It's
the lane on the left.

In Germany, when someone make a
toast, you say 'Prost'. It is very
important to look directly into the
eyes of the person you are toasting
with. Tradition here says that if
you do not, it's seven years bad sex.
I'm already up to 126 years!
